Psychedelia...

Fun, funky, & feminine...
those were the instructions behind these arrange-ments, which were used at one of the events surrounding the induction of Janis Joplin into the American Masters series put on by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame & Case Western Reserve University. Go, go girl power!

Flying Horse Farms.

You've heard of summer in a jar. So, why not autumn in a container? These flowers were created for the gracious hosts of a recent fundraiser. The event raised money for Flying Horse Farms - a provisional member of the Association for the Hole in the Wall Camps for sick children - created by Paul Newman. This camp is scheduled to open in September 2010.

Flowers for all seasons.

Want to bring the outdoors in? We can do that for you by creating custom silk arrange-ments. We know silks aren't the real thing. But anymore, it's awfully hard to tell the difference!

"Say cheese."

Flowers have an expression of countenance as much as men or animals. Some seem to smile; some have a sad expression; some are pensive & diffident; others again, like the broad-faced sunflower, are plain, honest, & upright. - Henry Ward Beecher, Star Papers: A Discourse of Flowers

A Study in Romance

The Scher Wedding, which took place on September 13, 2009, was a study in romance. Shades of white, dusty pink, & purple perfectly complemented the Tudor architecture of the Hillbrook Club. This arrangement graced the ornately- carved credenza just inside the entrance. Pee gee hydrangea, seeded euc, hybrid delphinium in a mauvey-lavender shade, bonsai euc, purple lisianthus, dusty pink stock, majolica spray roses, & white oriental lilies were arranged in a mercury glass vase, which was a serendipitous match to the sterling pheasants on either side.

Assignment: Jewel Tones

Comprised of locally grown dahlias, limelight hydrangea, deep purple stock, delphinium, viburnum berries, & seeded eucalyptus, this arrangement was a study in jewel tones. The customer's gorgeous ceramic vase helped add to its allure.

Birthdays, birds, & bees.

Inspired by the ceramics of Spain & Portugal, this
luscious centerpiece was created as a gift for a birthday party. The hostess is of Spanish heritage, so the container worked out perfectly filled with fennel, viburnum berries, grape-colored stock, hot biscuit amaranth, seeded eucalyptus, lemon yellow lilies, & pale-faced mini sunflowers. Even the bees liked it! (Look closely & you'll spy a bee hovering just below the viburnum berries on the left.)

Happy Anniversary!

Fete your friends and loved ones with flowers like these. A glorious arrangement of hydrangea, dahlias, viburnum berries, Casablanca lilies, Baptisia foliage, delphinium, seeded eucalyptus, solidago, and a few pale pink majolica spray roses helped finish it off. The long-married couple were touched.

A taste of Tuscany...

This arrange-ment was created for someone who LOVES Tuscany. We thought sunflowers might just be the right flower this time of year. A little fennel, amaranth, peach hypericum berries, hydrangea, zinnias, seeded eucalyptus, sedum, and deep purple stock helped finish off the creation. Plus, it smells great, too!

Love is the answer.

Physician and poet William Carlos Williams once wrote:
"It is at the edge of a petal that love waits." So, why not bring home some love today.

Al fresco dining...

These summer flowers were the perfect complement to an al fresco meal...peach zinnias, green hypericum berries, chartreuse hanging amaranth, dusty peach yarrow, green hydrangea, white stock, and a watermelon-colored globe amaranth. Cocktails anyone?

Local crops are in!

Come enjoy locally-grown sunflowers, cottage yarrow, curly mint, mountain mint, thistle, & one of our seasonal favorites "Hot Bisquit," which is a type of amaranth. It's the bee's knees!

A Romantic Summer Wedding

Wedding arrangements composed of pale pinks, creams, whites, and subtle bursts of fuschia flanked the altar at the Church of the Savior in Cleveland Heights, Ohio this past weekend. The blushing bride carried a romantic bouquet of white and cream garden flowers, while the bridesmaids carried delicate pink bouquets that complemented their midnight blue dresses.
